“MY HANDS ARE MUCH STRONGER NOW AND I CAN USE THEM AGAIN”
I have had Directed Pressure Point Technique treatment for many years and am very happy with the results. However, in 1998 – 2008, my husband and I lived in Spain and returned periodically to visit family, friends and, of course, my Directed Pressure Point Technique Practitioner.
Whilst in Spain my neck started to give a great deal of pain and my hands were becoming weaker. I went to my GP and he arranged for x-rays. The result was calcification and the nerves were being pinched, hence the weak hands. We decided to return to South Africa after receiving medical advice. I was put in touch with a neurosurgeon who did not want to operate. I was sent to a neurologist and then to a wrist surgeon (because of the hands). He decided to do a carpal tunnel type operation on my wrists. I refused to have the operation and went to see my Directed Pressure Point Technique Practitioner who was able to help me. My hands are much stronger now and I can use them again. After this, whenever we returned to Cape Town I made my usual appointments for Directed Pressure Point Technique.
However, in 2007, I had a big fall down a marble staircase in Spain. It was only a few weeks later that I needed help. I saw a physiotherapist and an osteopath, but to no avail. The pain got worse so I went to visit another doctor who gave me injections into my back, with very little relief. The pain then became worse and I found that my legs were becoming weaker and the pain in my groin was awful. Soon my legs gave way and I found myself on the floor. I then resorted to a wheelchair. At that time my youngest daughter was going through a divorce so we returned to Cape Town to support her and to resume Directed Pressure Point Technique treatments. It was not long after this that I was able to walk properly and had no further use for the wheelchair.
I am eternally grateful to Directed Pressure Point Technique for helping me so much. We have returned to Cape Town permanently, and I have regular DPPT treatments. I am now able to garden and do my own housework. I do have some aches and pains but nothing like I had. I no longer have to swallow painkillers or anti-inflammatories.
I would like to say “have patience and give yourself time to heal – there is no quick fix”. You must believe in the body’s capability to heal itself with the aid of this technique.
